Alvvays 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Alvvays is playing throughout their native Canada for the next few months, and it’s a great time to see the indie pop group. The next Alvvays concert occurs on December 15th in Toronto, ON, while they’ll resume in March 2023 before concluding on the 17th in Vancouver, BC.
After playing the US and Europe through 2022, Alvvays is ready to head home to their native Canada…, and they’ll be hitting up all your favorite cities! From Montreal, QC, and London, ON, to Victoria, BC, they’re bringing upbeat bops like “Archie, Marry Me” and “Adult Diversion” all over the country. Plus some brand-new tunes, of course. They’re continuing to support their third album, Blue Rev, released in October 2022, which marks their first album in five years and a whole new chapter for Alvvays.
Featuring singles like “Pharmacist,” “Easy On Your Own,” and “Belinda Says,” this record makes you fall in love with Alvvays and their signature indie pop sound all over again. Not that you ever stopped! NME says it best in their album review, stating that Blue Rev is “still identifiably Alvvays, but the hooks here are sweeter, the instrumentation brighter, the energy more palpable.” Pitchfork seconds this statement, calling the record a “triumph of power pop, a densely layered, witty, blithe, and beautiful record that sets a new benchmark for the genre.”
It’s no secret that Alvvays are indie pop icons, incorporating power, dream, and jangle pop elements in the process. But they’ve truly outdone themselves on Blue Rev.
