Alternative Revival: See the Best Emo Concerts in 2025
Get your studded belt and eyeliner ready, because emo concerts are making a comeback in 2025! Nearly two decades after the “golden age” of the alternative era, all your favorites are announcing reunion and anniversary tours…including My Chemical Romance, Bayside, Linkin Park and more. Heck, even the Vans Warped Tour is returning to your local parking lot after closing for good seven years ago!
Characterized by its emotional content and diehard unity that’s helped millions of so-called “emo kids” over the years, this music genre hits hard for all who listen to it. For many years now, these emo concerts have served as a soundtrack for millions of misfits, and their 2025 treks will bring more nostalgia, sentiment, and sing-along anthems than you could imagine.
My Chemical Romance
If there was one group that deserves the title of “Emo Kings,” it would be My Chemical Romance. The New Jersey quintet brought emo to the mainstream in 2004 with their major label debut, 2004’s Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge. And any “elder emo” will remember the hauntingly beautiful “Helena” video. Remember, in which the titular character rises from her coffin, dancing through a gothic church to one of the most heart-pounding rock choruses known to man?
Of course, they redefined the genre even further with 2006’s The Black Parade, a legendary rock opera that influenced artists not only in their own genre, but pop as well. The hit single “Welcome to the Black Parade” has been cited as an influence by everyone from Twenty One Pilots and Crown the Empire to Billie Eilish. And while they officially broke up over a decade ago, the group re-emerged in 2019 to reclaim their spot as one of the best emo bands of all time.
Want to see the iconic artistry of My Chemical Romance in person — with androgynous costumes, epic rock choruses, and so much more? Get your tickets to see the band on their 2025 stadium tour now.
The Used
Celebrating 25 years of emo anthems on their 2025 tour, The Used are more than ready to rock your socks off. We’re talking three nights in every city – with each featuring the band playing one of their standout records in its entirety. Are you most excited to hear 2002’s The Used, 2004’s In Love and Death, and 2007’s Lies For the Liars?
Of course, they’ll likely throw in some new tracks from 2024’s Medz, as The Used has performed some of the most consistent and high-quality emo concerts of the 2000s. You’ll hear all the classics — including “The Taste of Ink,” “Blue and Yellow,” “Take It Away” and “Pretty Handsome Awkward” — plus modern-day tracks to warm your emo heart. Grab your tickets to a The Used concert today!
Bring Me the Horizon
From the 2008 Warped Tour all the way to the brand new Intuit Dome in Los Angeles, Bring Me the Horizon is the blueprint for how to go from putting on basic emo concerts to being full-fledged rock stars. The British group has never been afraid to switch up their sound, starting as deathcore favorites and now topping the charts as rock-electronica-pop favorites.
Most notably, with their seventh album, 2024’s Post Human: Nex Gen. Supported by singles like “Die4U,” “Lost,” “Kool-Aid” and “Darkside,” this record throws every genre in the blender and stirs for a sensational, contemporary emo record that appeals to fans from every era. Whether you watched them from the crowd two decades ago or only got into Bring Me the Horizon in the 2020s, you’ll fall hard for these heavy-yet-melodic tracks.
Especially since they’re heading to America this year for the first headlining Bring Me the Horizon tour since 2022! Joined by Motionless in White and The Plot in You, they’ll rock arenas as a holy trinity of emo bands that only comes around once in a lifetime. Do you have your tickets yet?
Vans Warped Tour
For over two decades, the Vans Warped Tour served as a meeting ground for emo concerts and fans from every generation. Along with your go-to’s from the punk, metal, ska and alternative genres, of course! While it officially halted its summer runs in 2018, the tour promised that it wasn’t gone permanently…and Vans Warped Tour made good on its promise for 2025.
The previously-touring festival will make three stops this year — Orlando, FL, Long Beach, CA, and Washington, DC. Despite some overlaps, each event will have its own lineup, and it’s an incredible mix of classics, newcomers, and band revivals that you don’t want to miss. A Day to Remember, iDKHOW, 3OH!3 and Black Veil Brides, just to name a few? Yes, please.
You can also see All Time Low, Falling in Reverse, Pennywise, Cobra Starship…the list goes on and on. These are artists that helped transform the Vans Warped Tour into the musical and cultural phenomenon it was, and you can get a taste of nostalgia with this once-in-a-lifetime revival!
Pierce the Veil
Pierce the Veil is one of those emo bands that’s been through it all — 2000s fame, a much-needed break, and back again in the 2020s for the ultimate revival. Just how epic is their artistry in the alternative scene, exactly? They’re all set to embark on the I Can’t Hear You tour this summer, inspired by Taylor Swift’s iconic “Eras Tour” to deliver tunes from every point in their careers.
From their 2007 debut, A Flair for the Dramatic, to 2023’s comeback album, The Jaws of Life, and everything in between, these Pierce the Veil concerts will be nothing less than epic. Expect to hear old favorites like “King For a Day” (joined by Kellin Quinn of Sleeping with Sirens, their opening act), “Bulls in the Bronx,” and “Caraphernelia,” along with all-new tracks.
Coheed and Cambria with Taking Back Sunday
When it comes to quintessential emo concerts, this is the co-headlining tour of the season. Coheed and Cambria have a progressive rock background and boundless sci-fi catalog that contrasts beautifully with Taking Back Sunday‘s straightforward emotional punch. And with each band performing a full set, you’re essentially getting two concerts in one night.
Coheed and Cambria is coming your way with brand new tunes from Vaxis – Act III: The Father of Make Believe…the third installment in their out-of-this world Vaxis series. As for Taking Back Sunday? They’re bringing their all with a lineup of deep cuts and new favorites — ranging from cult classics like “Cute Without the ‘E’” and “MakeDamnSure” to tracks from 2023’s 152. Don’t forget to reserve your seats to see two of the best emo bands of all time!
Beartooth and I Prevail
Beartooth and I Prevail are both modern titans of Metalcore, revolutionizing the genre with heavy breakdowns, relatable lyrics, special guest appearances and more! Therefore, it’s hardly a surprise that they’re joining forces for the Summer of Loud tour in the coming months, joined by Parkway Drive and Killswitch Engage for a rotating lineup as heartwarming as it is heavy.
You see, both groups are fronted by Millennial men who have no issue talking (and singing) about their feelings. Beartooth frontman Caleb Shomo has been open about his mental health struggles, and subsequent healing with songs like “Riptide,” “Might Love Myself,” and “Sunshine!” At the same time, the two vocalists of I Prevail have never shied away from difficult topics.
Often compared to Linkin Park, another of this year’s revival emo bands, I Prevail songs like “Closure,” “Bow Down,” and “Deep End” are a bright light even in the darkest of times. And isn’t that what any “elder emo” needs in 2025? When these two emo concerts merge, you’ll simultaneously be transported back to 2012 while soaking in the beauty of the 2020s — the good, the bad, and the best that’s yet to come
And this is why you need tickets now for the Summer of Loud tour! Check out dates today.
Linkin Park
Linkin Park isn’t the “typical” name that pops up when discussing emo concerts, as their repertoire primarily covers rap and mainstream rock. But this is a scene where they’ve always belonged, and they can’t wait to remind you with the From Zero tour in 2025! Fronted by new lead singer Emily Armstrong and co-founder Mike Shinoda, this will be a bittersweet occasion for fans everywhere.
Linkin Park re-emerged last year from a seven-year hiatus, with Armstrong joining as vocalist after Chester Bennington’s tragic death in 2017. And while they’ve continuously made it clear that the rock legend can never be replaced, they’re trying to do Bennington justice with the latest Linkin Park concerts.
They’re performing classics that inspired an entire generation of music lovers who found a home in Linkin Park — including “Numb,” “Bleeding Out,” and “In the End.” However, they’re also heavily focusing on the most recent Linkin Park album, From Zero, which is also their first in nearly a decade.
New singles like “Heavy Is The Crown” and “The Emptiness Machine” are prime Linkin Park, focusing heavily on mental health and world issues. It’s a stunning amalgamation of Bennington’s memory and the incredible band he created, along with elements from Armstrong as she adds her own artistry into the mix. And you’ll be blown away when you see it up close at a Linkin Park concert.
When We Were Young
Often referred to as “Vans Warped Tour 2.0,” the When We Were Young Festival has taken place in Las Vegas, NV, since 2022, featuring some of the most iconic emo bands in the industry. Who’s headlining in 2025? None other than Blink-182, your favorite pop-punkers with a heart of gold, and Panic at the Disco, with Brendon Urie making a long-awaited return to the stage after a hiatus.
Other emo bands on the WWWY lineup include Weezer, All Time Low, and Boys Like Girls on the pop-punk side, while Metalcore lovers get Ice Nine Kills, Knocked Loose, and Motionless in White, just to name a few. Are you more into punk rock? No problem, as Bad Religion and The Offspring will be there too!
This festival is a fusion of all the emo subgenres that you could imagine, and you’ll have the time of your life singing along to every song. Get tickets now!
