Alkaline Trio 2024 Tour Announcement – Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs Tour Schedule
Alkaline Trio is coming back with a bang in 2024! Joined by Drug Church, the punk rock group will kick off the “Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs Tour” on February 22nd in Anaheim, CA. They’ll stop in Phoenix, AZ, Washington, DC, Chicago, IL, and more before wrapping up on March 30th in Las Vegas, NV.
While they’ve opened for other bands like Bad Religion and Fall Out Boy over the past few years, this will be the first headlining Alkaline Trio tour in ages. And it’s been a long time coming! The group is making a comeback in more ways than one. Matt Skiba is officially fronting the group again full-time after leaving Blink-182 to make way for Tom DeLonge’s return. Additionally, Alkaline Trio is all set to release its tenth album, Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs, in January 2024, which is their first in nearly six years.

“My mom worked for years as an emergency room nurse,” Skiba said in a statement. “She and her co-workers referred to exceptionally busy nights as ‘blood, hair, and eyeballs.’ Well, we’ve been busy making an exceptional record we refer to as Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs, too.” They’ve already shared the lead single, a titular track that reminds listeners that Alkaline Trio will always be punk rock royalty. With a 90s-inspired music video and fist-pump-worthy chorus that’s guaranteed to lead a mosh pit singalong, it’s a the perfect mix of old-meets-new Alkaline Trio.
“We approached this new record in completely new ways,” Skiba said about Blood, Hair, and Eyeballs. “We built the songs together, from the ground up, in the same room which hasn’t happened since the band started. Usually we start with an idea somebody’s already written. This time, we had the unique opportunity to build the songs onto drums recorded at Studio 606 on to two-inch tape using one of the most beautiful-sounding and legendary consoles in rock. It has almost everything to do with how our new record sounds.”
For those who don’t know, Studio 606 is owned by none other than Dave Grohl of the Foo Fighters…one of the many inspirations for the new record. They also drew upon other famous three-piece bands like Nirvana, The Police, and The Jimi Hendrix Experience for a new way to rock!
