Poppy 2022 Tour Announcement – Never Find My Place Tour Schedule
Poppy has announced new dates for the Never Find My Place tour, which runs in the US for almost three months. See the millennial metal singer beginning March 8th in Sacramento, CA, with performances in Philadelphia, PA, Atlanta, GA, Detroit, MI, and more before wrapping up on May 26th in San Diego, CA.
This Poppy tour is named for a track on her 2021 album, Flux, which received positive reviews and pushed her further into the genre-blending territory. While her debut album, 2017’s Poppy.Computer, was a bubblegum pop masterpiece; the past five years have taken a more intense turn. She’s developed an industrial metal sound that trades cute dresses for corsets and bops for guitar-heavy bridges, and this is what she’s here to present on this Poppy tour.
This will be the singer’s first trek in nearly two years, as the “I Disagree” tour was cut short in early 2020 due to the pandemic. With an upgraded look and sound, she’s ready to show up for her fans, both old and new! New songs like “Her” and “So Mean” are industrial rock ragers that will undoubtedly make the crowd go wild, and the newly 27-year-old is unveiling her post-pandemic, more mature persona.
Poppy is an inspiration for women in music, namely in the rock scene. She still incorporates elements of indie and dream pop into her work but makes it clear that metal is in her blood. Her song “Bloodmoney” was even nominated for a Grammy in 2021 for Best Metal Performance, which is quite the feat for such a young artist.
