Whitechapel 2023 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
Ready to thrash along to your favorite deathcore hits? Whitechapel is touring in spring 2023, taking the death metal heroes to 23 cities! They’ll begin on April 14th in Atlanta, GA, continuing through May 13th in Nashville, TN.
Joined by Archspire, Signs of the Swarm, and Entheos, it’s safe to say that you’ll have one of the most intense nights of your life… and we mean that in the best way. Whitechapel is known for crushing guitar riffs, guttural screams, and earsplitting drums that transport you to another world, and there will be no shortage of heavy metal hits on this trek. The group will be playing their second-most-recent album, 2019’s The Valley, from front to back, giving it the attention it deserves after a disastrous few years in live music.
“We are excited to announce our first headlining tour in four years in which we will be playing our album The Valley in full,” Whitechapel said in a statement. “The pandemic cut our album cycle for The Valley short and we never had the chance to do a proper headliner for it, so we are finally making that happen with a roster of extreme and brutal bands to support this effort. We will also play an extended encore of classic bangers in addition to The Valley set so this is surely one not to miss!”
“Classic bangers” is an understatement when it comes to Whitechapel, who have released dozens of brutally brilliant deathcore hits since they formed in Knoxville, TN, in 2006. You already know you’ll hear all the best tracks off The Valley, like “Brimstone,” “Black Bear,” and “Third Depth,” but what about its follow-up, 2021’s Kin? And then there are the 2000s favorites you know and love, like “I, Dementia,” “Elitist Ones,” “Possession,” and more. These songs were made to scream along to as you indulge in a show from one of the best death metal bands of our time, and Whitechapel can’t wait to see you on the road!
Just like their band name derives from the Whitechapel district of London where Jack the Ripper did his bad deeds, the rest of their aesthetic is equally brutal. But here’s the thing… we love them for it. A Whitechapel concert is unlike any show you’ve ever seen before, and you’ll have a blast whether you’re seeing them for the first time or a lifelong listener.
