Where to See Suga in 2023
Suga is continuing his first solo tour, and there are still a few chances to see the K-Pop hero! The BTS member will next perform on April 26th in Elmont, NY, making stops in Newark, NJ, Chicago, IL, and Los Angeles, CA, before concluding on May 17th in Oakland, CA.
It’s practically a right of passage for the world’s biggest K-Pop groups… perform in stadiums with your bandmates before heading out on your own to go solo! And just like RM and J-Hoppe before him, SUGA is taking a mini-hiatus from BTS to head up his own solo endeavors. He’s already played in some of the country’s best venues, but still has a few more stops before he goes on summer break. Are you most excited to hear songs from his two EPs, 2016’s Agust D and 2020’s D-2, or his upcoming album, D-Day?
D-Day is set to be released later in April under the name Agust D, starting a new chapter for the 30-year-old singer and rapper. You may have already heard the lead single, “People Pt. 2” featuring IU, along with “HUH?!” with Suga’s BTS bandmate J-Hope, and “Snooze” with the late Ryuichi Sakamoto and Woosung of fellow K-Pop group, The Rose. With ultra-catchy hits and collaborations galore, you know that Suga has big things planned for the final installment of his mixtape trilogy.
It’s a bit of a full circle moment for Suga, releasing the EP Agust D seven years ago and using it as his alias in 2023. He’s achieved incredible things in between, from touring the world with BTS to reaching the top of the Billboard charts with solo hits like “Give It To Me,” “Daechwita,” and “Agust D.” But we know that this is just the beginning for Suga! He can sing, dance, rap, and even act… quickly becoming one of the biggest K-Pop stars in the world both on his own and with BTS.
