Tori Kelly 2023 Tour Announcement – Take Control Tour Schedule

Tori Kelly is touring for the first time in four years! The powerhouse pop vocalist will kick off on September 10th in Toronto, ON, stopping in five cities before concluding on September 26th in Los Angeles, CA.

“It’s been too long! The Take Control tour is here,” Kelly wrote on Instagram to her four million followers. Indeed, it’s been almost half a decade since the last Tori Kelly concerts in 2019, in which she performed her acoustic songs in intimate clubs. And while this surprise trek was very welcomed, it was also a big surprise. The announcement came mere days after Kelly faced a health scare and subsequent hospitalization, which she has said won’t impact her music.

She even managed to release her new EP, Tori, which marked her musical comeback after a 2020 Christmas album and mini-record called Solitude. A soul-searching EP with seven tracks about everything from Kelly’s parent’s divorce and her own marriage to her past as an American Idol contestant, Tori is everything you’d expect from the singer. The EP puts her unbelievably powerful voice on display on both ballads and belters, and you’ll be enamored by every second of it.

Unfortunately, Kelly herself was a but bummed about being unable to properly promote her new EP during her hospitalization, which she addressed in a statement to her fans. However, she also insisted that it was a true representation of her current state of mind, and just some of the many more new songs to come. “Of course, I’m heartbroken about all of the things I had planned for this week of releasing my EP, but I know my health must come first,” Kelly says.

“Until I see you again, I still want you to enjoy a project that represents the happy place I’ve been in the last few years. I won’t let this hurdle prevent the music from being yours!” She followed through with her promise as Tori flooded our ears, reminding us why the two-time Grammy winner is the voice of a generation.
