The Top Metal Tours of 2025
Do you hear the circle pits starting in the distance? The top metal tours of 2025 are currently being rolled out — promising more pyrotechnics and prime headbanging than you can handle. The metal genre has an uncanny ability to convey aggression and angst one moment before bringing even the toughest-looking metalheads into a group hug the next. And these emotions and more will be running through your veins as you book tickets to the top metal tours of 2025. Will you be seeing Disturbed, Metallica, Linkin Park or all of the above? Check it out:
Disturbed – The Sickness 25th Anniversary Tour
We’re not trying to make you feel old, but you’ve likely been jamming along to “Down With the Sickness” for over two decades now. What self-respecting metalhead hasn’t? For Disturbed, it’s their signature song that elevated them from underground heroes to nu-metal icons. And the band is giving their debut album, 2000’s The Sickness, the appreciation it deserves on a quarter-century celebration trek in 2025.
This Disturbed tour will present two sets every night — one in which the band plays The Sickness in its entirety, and another composed of their greatest hits. These include early 2000s favorites like “Decadence,” “Inside the Fire,” and “Stricken,” along with semi-new tunes from their eighth record, 2022’s Divisive. It’s a journey through their full discography that’s as heartfelt as it is heavy, as millions of fans already have their tickets for this metal extravaganza.
Joined by Three Days Grace, Daughtry, Sevendust and Nothing More on select dates, this Disturbed tour is a tribute to the album that launched them to hard rock royalty. The record was certified five times platinum by the RIAA, sat for an incredible 106 weeks on the US Billboard 200 chart, and made Revolver’s list of the “Top 25 Debut Hard Rock Albums.” And for Disturbed, it was only up from there. Jerry Cantrell – I Want Blood Tour
Want to witness one of the top metal tours of the year, with a side of grunge realness? Jerry Cantrell can help with that. The Alice in Chains co-founder is heading out on another solo trek in 2025, supporting his fifth album, I Want Blood. Described by Metal Hammer as having “an iconic sound, sludgy guitars and soulful vocals,” this new music is classic Cantrell with a modern twist.
He’s already turning heads (and ears!) with the latest single, “It Comes,” which only proves that Cantrell has gotten better with age. While his solo work certainly contains plenty of influence from Alice in Chains, the 90s grunge icons he’s fronted for nearly four decades, he also has a sound that’s entirely his own.
Fans can expect everything from hard-hitting rock anthems to bluesy, acoustic numbers, all delivered with the grit and passion that have defined Cantrell’s career. I Want Blood will be the main attraction, of course, but you’ll also hear older favorites like “Anger Rising,” “Cut You In,” and “Man in the Box.” AKA, all the grunge-metal anthems that have inspired an entire generation of headbangers.

Trivium and Bullet For My Valentine – The Poisoned Ascendency Tour
Two bands. Two 20-year anniversary celebrations. Endless amounts of early 2000s metal madness. You’ll get all this and more on the Trivian and Bullet For My Valentine co-headlining tour, aptly titled “The Poisoned Ascendency.” Named after both bands’ respective albums that are turning two decades old in 2025, this musical expedition will pull in metalheads near and far for a nostalgic observance.
“This is a celebration for the old fans that were there at 9 am at Ozzfest to catch a couple songs from a band in Iron Maiden shirts,” Trivium said in a statement. “It’s for the new fans that have been listening to the deep cuts but never caught them on a recent tour. And lastly, it’s for both BFMV and us to take a moment to reflect on how amazing these 20 years have been, how fast they’ve gone, and how important these albums are for both of our bands.”
Let’s talk about these albums — Bullet For My Valentine’s debut, The Poison, and Trivium’s sophomore record, Ascendancy. Both projects were instrumental to their careers and helped them rise the ranks of the metal world, one heavy single at a time. Who can forget “Tears Don’t Fall,” the ultimate radio rock staple from Bullet For My Valentine, or Trivium’s “Like Light to the Flies?” Both songs and so much more will be played on one of the top metal tours of 2025. And we hope to see you there!
Aborted – Terrifying North America Tour
When a band names their trek the “Terrifying North America tour,” it’s easy to assume that this won’t be all rainbow strobe lights and acoustic singalongs. But here’s the thing: what you’ll get from Aborted — plus their tourmates Ingested, Peeling Flesh, and Stabbing — is even better. It’s a sonic onslaught of grinding riffs, blast beats, and guttural vocals that will leave the audience shaking in their studded platform boots.
The Belgian metal band is all set to celebrate its newly-released twelfth album, Vault of Horrors. And fans can’t wait to hear new tracks like “Hellbound,” “Malevolent Haze,” and “Naturom Demonto” live for the very first time. Spoiler alert: it’s going to be as intense as it sounds, and we’re here for it. You see, off all the subgenres, death metal may just be the most controversial. It’s loud, vicious, and can whip up a circle pit beyond your wildest dreams with a single growl.
And while this type of show isn’t for everybody, those who understand the science behind death metal tend to really, really love it…making this Aborted tour a contender as one of the top metal tours of 2025. Aborted concerts have always been about creating an atmosphere — a dark, almost theatrical experience where the audience is enveloped by the sinister themes and powerful visuals that accompany their crushing sound.
With the Terrifying North America tour, they aim to push those boundaries even further. Get ready to let loose and feel the rage inside of you with this epic setlist of old and new favorites, courtesy of your new favorite European metal band!
Sick New World Festival
Okay, it’s not technically a tour…but we couldn’t resist including the mother of all heavy metal events on this list. The Sick New World Festival enters its third year in 2025, and the lineup is nothing less than electrifying. Metallica is headlining on April 12th in Las Vegas, NV, giving attendees a chance to see one of the most iconic heavy metal bands in the world. Meanwhile, Linkin Park continues their reunion trek with new singer Emily Armstrong. With every performance, she leads fans in emotional singalongs that paint the night with the innovative spirit of late vocalist Chester Bennington.
And needless to say, emotions will be running high at this heavy metal extravaganza. Who else will be at the Sick New World festival? Queens of the Stone Age, AFI, Evanescence, Ministry, The Sisters of Mercy, Gojira and Three Days Grace, to name a few, plus 40+ more. Acid Bath is even returning from the dead after a whopping 27 years! Whether you’re into nu-metal, thrash metal, metalcore or anything in between, you’ll have a blast at this metal show for the ages.
