Sara Bareilles is bringing Good Grief on the road in 2026, and if you couldn’t tell from the title, this album and tour will be an emotional rollercoaster. Marking her first record in seven years, the singer will begin performing on September 9 in Boston, MA, before heading to cities including Washington, DC, Toronto, New York, Philadelphia, Atlanta, Cincinnati, Chicago, Minneapolis, St. Louis, Denver, Salt Lake City, and more.
After nearly a decade away, Bareilles is using Good Grief as an outlet for all of her emotions — happiness, love, heartache and longing. These can all be heard on the first single, “Home,” which was inspired by a podcast talk with Anderson Cooper and Stephen Colbert back in 2022. “It feels like an invitation and a tone setter for the specificity and depth of this record,” Bareilles said about the song. “It just feels really essential right now. In order for us as humans to really know and understand each other, we have to listen to each other’s stories.”
