María José is making her way to a city near you! The Mexican singer will kick off her “Libertad Tour” on November 16th in Phoenix, AZ, stopping in 8 cities before concluding on the 26th in Sacramento, CA.
Named for her sixth studio album of the same name, the Libertad tour represents a time of empowerment for María José and her biggest fans. Especially the women in the audience! She’s become a feminist icon over the past three decades with her sultry Spanish pop singles, which you’ll hear plenty of at her upcoming shows. From the classics like “Prefiero Ser Su Amante” and “Te Quiero Tanto” to new tracks off Libertad, you’ll be enchanted every night by this Latin pop icon.
“Libertad’ is an unexpected record, and that’s how unexpected freedom is in your life,” José told the crowd at a recent concert. “We often feel tied to our body, society, and our own prejudices… Freedom is what I have today. Today I want to infect you with that freedom with each of my songs, with each of the staff members, and with each of my fans; I invite you all to be free. Welcome!”
