The Mannheim Steamroller Christmas tour is back in business for 2021 and playing all through December! You can next see the neoclassical group on the 9th in Binghamton, NY, with shows continuing through the 30th in San Diego, CA.
“We couldn’t be more excited to know that we will reunite with our many fans this Christmas,” said frontman Chip Davis. 2020 marked the first time in decades that a Mannheim Steamroller tour hasn’t brought Christmas magic to the country, and fans were saddened to miss the group’s neoclassical-meets-new age renditions of holiday favorites. However, these 2021 Mannheim Steamroller concerts are destined to bring double the holiday cheer after a bittersweet year.
Mannheim Steamroller has put its spin on Christmas classics for over thirty years. Chip Davis and his bandmates released their first festive album, Mannheim Steamroller Christmas, in 1984 – building an empire on upbeat bells and classical takes on carols. They’ve released dozens more festive records since and will be playing all the seasonal songs like “Deck the Halls,” “Hallelujah,” “Christmas Lullaby,” “Carol of the Bells,” and many more.
While Chip Davis helped found the group back in 1974, Mannheim Steamroller now has dozens of members alternate between Christmas concerts. They flawlessly play festive songs that combine classical music with progressive and new-age rock and draw in thousands of loyal fans each year that have followed them for the past half-century.
