Lorde 2025 Tour Announcement – Ultrasound Tour Schedule
Lorde is bringing her “Ultrasound World Tour” to North America this fall, which marks her first arena run since 2023. She’ll kick off the 2025 Lorde concerts on September 17th in Austin, TX, making 20+ stops before finishing up on October 22nd in Seattle, WA.
“I am going on tour in support of my new album, Virgin,” Lorde said in a statement. “Every show I play is a collaboration between you and me. We meet in a room and we make music together, our bodies and the machines in search of something bigger together. 12 years of meeting up and making sound that’s just for us. Since last time I’ve been stripping away unnecessary layers, finding us more room to move.”
What does this mean, exactly? That the 28-year-old songstress has learned to find herself again after a few years away. It’s been a minute since she released her last record, Solar Power, in 2021, and the New Zealand singer has entered a new chapter of personal maturity and musical experimentation. This is obvious with new songs like “What Was That,” “Man of the Year,” and “Hammer,” all of which she live-debuted at the Glastonbury festival last month.
“I think that I really came into my own power making this album,” Lorde told Billboard Philippines. “In the past, I have really struggled with feeling powerful and feeling fully in my own body, so it was really my intention with this one to make something that felt like it could carry the full weight of my inner world, my ambition, and even my history.” Mission accomplished! Early reviews of Virgin have been nothing short of sensational, and she’s excited to share a new part of her inner world on the 2025 Lorde tour.
Expect stripped-back tracks, synth-laden crescendos, and moments where Lorde peels back layers to deliver the raw vulnerability that’s become her signature. “What Was That,” in particular, is a synth-pop gem that serves as a breakup song…something most of her fans can relate to. While she still harbors love, grief, and even a little resentment, she’s also learning how to move on while living with her painful past. And if anything, this track and its underlying themes represent Virgin as a whole.
