Lorde 2022 Tour Announcement – Solar Power Tour Schedule
Lorde is making a “Royal” return to the stage, with a brand new album and world tour that takes the young artist around the globe. The North American leg of the Solar Power tour kicks off in Nashville on April 3, 2022, before ending in Santa Barbara on May 7th.
Solar Power is Lorde’s third studio album, and the first since 2017’s universally-acclaimed Melodrama. While the writing process was lengthy and often complicated, the 24-year old singer ended up with a masterpiece that pays homage to her environment.
“The album is a celebration of the natural world, an attempt at immortalizing the deep, transcendent feelings I have when I’m outdoors,” Lorde said in a statement. “In times of heartache, grief, deep love, or confusion, I look to the natural world for answers. I’ve learned to breathe out, and tune in. This is what came through.”
While there was plenty of that “heartache, grief, and confusion” that Lorde speaks of throughout 2020, Solar Power was years in the making. You know, long before COVID-19 happened.
She has shown more maturity and refinement to her distinctive sound with each passing record she releases; establishing herself as one of the most talented artists of her time.
While fans are excited to hear songs from Solar Power played live on the upcoming Lorde tour, particularly the title track that she released in June, they can likely expect to hear some oldies, too. Perhaps like “Royals,” the international hit that helped her rise to prominence at age 17? Or the electropop “Perfect Places” that will have the audience dancing? You’ll only find out by attending a Lorde concert in 2022!
