Grupo Firme 2021 Tour Announcement – Staples Center Tour Schedule
Grupo Firme are bringing their Latin beats to Los Angeles, and they’re staying for a whopping seven nights. The 7-piece group will be the first musical act to grace the stage of the Staples Center in over a year, beginning on July 30th and continuing each night until August 8th.
Staples Center is a major upgrade from November 2019, the last time that Grupo Firme was in the City of Angels. The Mexican group performed their banda-pop singles for around 9,000 fans in Pico Rivera, who captured the interactive shows on their phones and posted YouTube videos that began racking up views. In fact, Grupo Firme has garnered over one billion views on the site since they first launched in 2013.
Viral success has been a huge factor in Grupo Firme’s rise to fame, as fans from all over the world became engulfed in banda hits that aren’t often found on today’s music charts. What makes Grupo Firme stand out? The fresh take on classic hits — as evidenced by their collaboration on Calibre 50’s “El Amor No Fue Pa’ Mi” that has racked up 200 million YouTube views to date — and the whopping 7 members that goes far beyond any typical band.
And then there’s the Grupo Firme concerts that pull the audience into the show in an unreal way. “It’s phenomenal for a band that has never played Staples Center before,” Lee Zeidman, president of Staples Center, told Billboard about Grupo Firme’s nearly sold out run. “When we first started having conversations with Grupo Firme, we were talking about the Microsoft Theater and as we pivoted with the promoter, we all came to the conclusion, ‘what about Staples Center?’ And here we are seven shows later.”
