Five Finger Death Punch and Megadeth 2022 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule

Five Finger Death Punch is hitting the road with Megadeth, and it’s going to be one of the best metal tours of 2022! They’ll kick off the trek on August 19th in Portland, OR, and continue for 32 dates before the final show on October 15th in Salt Lake City, UT. 

This tour supports the ninth album by Five Finger Death Punch, titled AfterLife. While it’s not scheduled for release until August 2022, they’ve already debuted two singles that prove the record is a metal masterpiece. “IOU” is an energizing hard-rock track with mega-catchy verses destined to incite dozens of moshpits on this Five Finger Death Punch tour. On the other hand, the title track is a bit mellow (at least, by FFDP standards) but features a scream-worthy chorus consisting of vocalist Ivan Moody repeatedly chanting, “I don’t wanna wait!” We don’t wanna wait another few months for AfterLife, but we know it will be worth it to hear these tracks live for the first time on tour!

“Afterlife was hands down my favorite record to make,” says guitarist Zoltan Bathory. “It is our ninth album so, at this point, we have legions of loyal fans, and our signature sound is more than established.” He said their music “became its own island, our ground zero we operate from, and we can always come back to.” 

“So when we started this record, there was an excitement of impending musical adventures, we knew we could step away as far as we wanted to, there was a freedom of truly ‘anything goes,” explained Bolton. Indeed, the songs on AfterLife are classic Five Finger Death Punch with a twist. It’s only natural for your musical style to change after 17 years as a band and living through a major event like a global pandemic. And we can’t wait to hear how their sound has evolved since their last album, 2020’s F8.
