Dawes and Lucius 2024 Tour Announcement – Tag Team Tour Schedule
Dawes and Lucius are joining forces for the “Tag Team Tour” in 2024! The two bands are bringing their A-game to all your favorite cities, starting on March 9th in Charleston, SC. They’ll stop in Tuscaloosa, AL, Avon, CO, Sacramento, CA, and more before concluding on the 24th in Pioneertown, CA.
These two bands go way back, as shown by their recent onstage collaboration on “With A Little Help From My Friends!” The title of the song held true as Dawes sprinkled their cool California folk throughout each and every verse. Meanwhile, Lucius followed up with edgier indie-pop straight out of the streets of Brooklyn. These two musical styles are starkly different but also form a fresh dynamic — one that fans have loved seeing onstage for years.
And while their onstage collaborations have been random until now, Dawes and Lucius somehow knew that 2024 was the ideal time for a joint tour. Both have semi-new music to promote, and will almost definitely join each other onstage for a few impromptu duets! Like “Picture Of A Man,” perhaps? And then there’s the more recent tunes off Dawes’ eighth and latest album, 2022’s Misadventures of Doomscroller, which they’ve spent the past year promoting on the road and elsewhere.
Taylor Goldsmith’s husky vocals sound better than ever on new tracks like “Comes In Waves” and “Someone Else’s Cafe / Doomscroller Tries to Relax.” Taking a more lengthy and instrumental turn than their previous work, these Dawes songs are symbol of both growth, along with their love of minute-long acoustic guitar solos. And when these new tracks unite with those on the latest Lucius album, 2022’s Second Nature, beautiful sounds are bound to come to fruition.
After sharing the stage at dozens of music festivals and intimate performances over the years, these groups knew it was time for a join Dawes and Lucius tour.
