Dave Koz is bringing his unique brand of smooth jazz to a city near you, and we can’t wait to see the famed saxophonist on his Christmas tour! The trek begins on November 26th in Atlanta, GA, and continues through December 23rd in San Jose, CA.
Titled “Dave Koz & Friends,” this Christmas tour will also feature Jonathan Butler, Richard Elliot, Rick Braun, and Rebecca Jade – bringing instrumental beauty to your favorite holiday tunes. It’s a treasured time of the year for Koz, a multiplatinum and Grammy-nominated saxophonist with an appreciation for jazzy and jolly hits.
While Koz was raised Jewish in the San Fernando Valley region of Los Angeles, he’s still more than willing to play Christmas classics for his fans. Many of the nineteen David Koz albums are even based around this holiday! His old friend Rick Braun joined Koz on the 2001 album, A Smooth Jazz Christmas, which featured covers of “Silent Night,” “The Christmas Song,” “Little Drummer Boy,” and more.
Will Koz also play other jazzy hits from his thirty-four-year career on this tour? Perhaps! He released his latest album, A Romantic Night In (The Love Songs Album), on Valentine’s Day 2021, while fans are also itching to hear classics like “Habits” or “Together Again.”
Regardless of the setlist, one thing is sure: Koz’s appreciation for playing music with his friends and fans. Before the pandemic, he sold out multiple “David Koz & Friends” tours on land and sea, and has played with the same talented group of musicians for the past three decades! He has described music as “humbling” and a blessing… and we couldn’t agree more.
“Always front and center is the music. It’s humbling, this many years in such a fickle business, to still have a career, still be able to go out and tour and make records,” Koz says on his website. “Music has been such a blessing to me, and we need it more than ever today.”
