Danny Brown is bringing his experimental hip-hop all over the US on the “Quaranta Tour!” Named for his just-released album of the same name, he’ll kick off on March 12th in Boston, MA. Quaranta came out this November, a full four years after Brown’s last record, 2019’s U Know What I’m Sayin? And while fans had very high expectations after all this time, Danny Brown went above and beyond on his sixth album! New songs like “Tantor” and “Jenn’s Terrific Vacation” are edgy and autobiographical future hits that will have you on the edge of your seat. According to the publication, Brown “explores his experiences with pain, isolation, and hitting rock bottom” with these songs, written after he spent time in rehab for substance abuse.
Brown also describes the recording process as his “way of getting sh** out,” which is a less-eloquent (but equally true) form of saying that he bared his soul on Quaranta. He leaves no subject untouched on this deeply intimate, but undeniably catchy record, which he can’t wait to support on his next trek.
