“The Charlie Live Experience” is coming to your city! Multiplatinum singer Charlie Puth is visiting 28 cities in the summer of 2023, beginning May 24th in Irving, TX, and continuing through July 11th in Los Angeles, CA.
This trek supports Puth’s third album, Charlie, which was released last fall to great reviews. Described as his most personal album to date, new songs like “Light Switch,” “Left and Right,” and “That’s Hilarious” are perfect pop masterpieces that showcase his powerful vocals and mad piano skills! “It’s an album that’s about stuff I went through from 2019 through 2022,” Puth told American Songwriter about his third album when he graced the cover, “but it’s just as much about the listener as well, and me wanting to guide them to inspiration.” “The most important thing you can do as a songwriter tells the truth,” he continued, “and I was telling the truth a little bit before, but now the cup is overflowing with truth on this album.”
Honesty was certainly Puth’s goal in the making of Charlie. In fact, the entire album recording process was highly publicized and posted on TikTok! He regularly put out videos of himself in the recording studio or gave out sneak peeks of songs, and fans loved every second of it. He plans to implement this same transparency for his future music, as he told Rolling Stone. “I don’t think I’m ever gonna make an album where I’m hiding away from people,” Puth explained to the publication, “and I’m in my little cocoon and then one day, I’ll be ready to share it with everybody. It just doesn’t feel like me.”
Puth’s transparency is very refreshing, as are his crystal-clear voice, piano skills, and penchant for soul-defying lyrics.
