Chappell Roan 2024 Tour Announcement – Midwest Princess Tour Schedule
Make way for the Midwest Princess! Chappell Roan has extended her tour dates into 2024, and now is the time to see the rising pop superstar. She’ll begin on October 8th in Indianapolis, IN, continuing through April 9th in Boulder, CO.
Roan is celebrating the release of her debut album, The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess, which came out in September! Featuring popular tracks like “Pink Pony Club,” “Red Wine Supernova,” and “My Kink is Karma,” the record is raising eyebrows in more ways than one. And that’s exactly how Chappell Roan likes it. From her naughty song titles and over-the-top aesthetics to the controversial way she’s spoken about the music industry, it’s clear that the 25-year-old is here to stay.
Imagine Lady Gaga mixed with Hannah Montana, but for the 18+ crowd… that’s Chappell Roan. From the moment she released her first and only EP, School Nights, in 2017, the singer had hundreds of thousands of pop music lovers looking her way. And while the past few years have been tough, which Roan getting dropped from her label and being unable to tour due to COVID, she’s finally come out on top. The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess is a basically an auditory autobiography, and it’s already climbing the charts!
The album debuted at No. 3 on Heatseekers Albums, No. 26 on Top Current Album Sales and No. 33 on Top Album Sales with 3,000 copies sold in its first week. Not bad for a relative newcomer, right? Chappell Roan also opened up to Billboard about how much her music has changed over the past five years and helped her come out of her artistic shell. “When I started making music, I was very depressed, very dark and really serious,” she admits, referencing her strict small-town upbringing and religious background.
However, her getting dropped from her record label was a blessing in disguise. “My world opened up, and so did my music,” says Roan, who independently released “Pink Pony Club” in the summer of 2021. Spoiler alert: it became one of the best party songs of the season! “My music reflected the feelings of my first time in a gay club, my first time falling in love with a woman, my first time feeling homesick — I had to go through all those experiences, that pain and suffering, to rebirth myself into where I am now.”
