Bruce Springsteen 2021 @ St. James Theater – Springsteen on Broadway Show Schedule

The Boss is back in town – New York City, to be precise. Bruce Springsteen is bringing back his Tony-winning show, Springsteen on Broadway, for a limited time run. Beginning on June 25th at the St. James Theater, this Manhattan-only show runs through September 4th… with tickets selling very quickly. 

While many artists choose to do residencies in Las Vegas, the legendary Bruce Springsteen chose to make New York City his home. Springsteen on Broadway began in late 2017 as Springsteen performed his greatest hits within a Broadway theater, mixed with a bit of witty dialogue and reminiscing on his six-decade musical career. 

The demand for tickets caused the show to continue well past its original run, and the praise for Springsteen on Broadway kept pouring in. Rolling Stone called it “one of the most compelling and profound shows by a rock musician in recent memory,” while New York Times said “as portraits of artists go, there may never have been anything as real – and beautiful – on Broadway.” 

And then there was the special Tony award that Springsteen on Broadway received for its cultural impact on The Great White Way. While the curtain closed on Springsteen on Broadway in December 2018, Springsteen has said that the decision to bring the show back in 2021 was natural. 

“I had a friend who got so enthusiastic about [Springsteen on Broadway] to me that he talked me into it sitting on my couch one night,” Springsteen recently told Sirius XM’s E Street Radio. “The next day I said, ‘OK, we’ll do some shows.’ It really came around kind of casually. It will be just nice to be back there again.” Springsteen on Broadway will be the first show to re-open in New York City post-pandemic, in true “The Boss” fashion.
