AJ McLean and Joey Fatone 2024 Tour Announcement – A Legendary Night Tour Schedule
AJ McLean and Joey Fatone are hitting the road for the ultimate elder millennial throwback! The two boy band legends will perform their greatest hits across eight cities. They’ll kick off “A Legendary Night Tour” on March 15th in Temecula, CA, continuing through the 30th in Jacksonville, FL.
“I’ve known AJ as long as I’ve known my own band members,” says Fatone, who found worldwide fame as a member of *NSYNC in the 90’s and early 2000s. “We’ve worked together in the past on one-off projects here and there but never had the opportunity to create something together. This tour gives us the chance to combine the best of both musical worlds.”
“I hope our fans are ready for a show that’ll take them on a journey through the magic of *NSYNC, Backstreet Boys, and everything-in-between,” he continued. “This show is all about fun and reminiscing and we can’t wait to share this moment with audiences across the country.” Fatone also hinted that the setlist will include a mix of boy band throwbacks and brand new tunes. Both men have found success both as members of a group and solo artists, so you’d better be ready for a show that’s larger than life.
Did we just quote a Backstreet Boys song when talking about the A Legendary Night tour? Absolutely. It’s just one of several classics they’re likely to perform, along with *NSYNC’s “This I Promise You,” with guest vocals from McLean. While there was a running joke that Backstreet Boys and *NSYNC were mortal enemies in their prime, this couldn’t be farther from the truth. They’re supported each other continuously over the decades, and this co-headlining tour is yet another exciting collaboration.
What have they been up to in recent years? Joey Fatone has competed on both Dancing With The Stars and The Masked Singer, and performed both in movies and on the Broadway stage. Remember him in My Big Fat Greek Wedding? He also made headlines in 2023 when he reunited with his *NSYNC bandmates for the first time in twenty years, releasing a new single called “Better Place.” There’s no word on whether the guys, including Justin Timberlake and Lance Bass, will embark on a reunion tour or make a new album, but there’s always hope!
As for AJ McLean? He’s continued to perform with The Backstreet Boys, and for nearly five years has travelled the world on the band’s DNA tour. Visiting dozens of countries and grossing nearly $200 million, this trek is a testament to the popularity of one of the OG boy bands. They’ve has a blast performing their greatest hits, including “I Want It That Way,” “Everybody,” and “Shape Of My Heart,” and now McLean is heading out to sing them on his own.
A Legendary Night tour is destined to live up to its name, serving up all your favorite boy band classics and new essentials from Fatone and McLean. Their respective legacies are out of this world, and you’ll sing and dance along to every song. Get your tickets now!
