Maverick City Music 2024 Tour Announcement – Good News Tour Schedule
Maverick City Music has some “Good News” for their friends and fans! The contemporary worship ensemble is hitting the road on a new trek, and they’re taking your faves with them. They’ll begin on October 3rd in Houston, TX, continuing through November 26th in Newark, NJ.
“We are so excited to get back on the road again and bring this music to people alongside dear friends of ours,” says Co-Founders of Maverick City Music and TRIBL Records Jonathan Jay and Norman Gyamfi. “We’re always hoping to set the standard of collaboration by making space for gifted artists wherever we go. We believe God will move mightily through this tour and the lives of those attending.”
This Maverick City Music tour is named for the group’s semi-new single, “Good News,” which was released several months ago with guest vocals from Todd Galberth. As one could expect from the group, it’s a spiritual number that you can groove to in any setting — at church, a party, or even a friendly hangout. “I’ve got good news, Jesus loves you,” they triumphantly sing in the chorus, a gentle reminder of why Maverick City Music has made sweet music for years now.
They’re also celebrating their just-released album, The Maverick Way Reimagined, on the road…and you’ll fall to your knees with new arrangements of classic songs like “The Story I’ll Tell,” “Firm Foundation,” and “Refiner.” Maverick City Music’s mission extends beyond music; they aim to be a voice for marginalized communities, addressing cultural and social issues through their art. And it’s one of the most profound and powerful things we’ve ever seen in concert.
This commitment is reflected in their impactful lyrics and emotional performances, which resonate deeply with fans, whether they’re deeply religious or not. Maverick City Music last made their mark in 2022 with a nearly sold-out tour, continuously proving the power of gospel and worship tunes. And now, they intend to do it all again on the Good News tour.
