Ray LaMontagne 2023 Tour Announcement – Just Passing Through Tour Schedule
Ray LaMontagne is all set for the “Just Passing Through Tour” later this year, taking the folk-rock hero to 28 cities! He’ll begin on September 6th in Atlanta, GA, making stops in Boston, MA, Toronto, ON, Milwaukee, WI, and more before concluding on October 15th in Los Angeles, CA.
You may have heard the concept of singing through your nose or chest, but how about your gut? This unorthodox but effective technique is Ray Lamontagne’s specialty. It gives him a distinctive vocal style that spits out one “marble-mouthed” (as Rolling Stone once called it) hit song after another. And you’ll get to hear them all on the Just Passing Through tour. From folk favorites like “You Are the Best Thing” and “Trouble” to “Let It Be Me” and “Empty,” the Grammy winner can’t wait to impress every night.
Montagne still supports his eighth and latest record, 2020’s Monovision, which included catchy singles like “Strong Enough” and “Misty Morning Rain.” These stripped-down, almost exclusively acoustic tracks are like comfort food for the soul, with LaMontagne’s husky voice leading the way as you enter folk-rock heaven. There’s a reason why the New Hampshire-born singer is one of the genre’s greatest, after all, and you can hear him stripped down and more authentic than ever at a Ray LaMontagne concert.
From winning a Grammy for his 2011 album, Gold Willin’ and the Creek Don’t Rise, to playing the world’s biggest stages, Ray LaMontagne has come a long way in his music career. 2024 will mark two decades since his 2004 debut, Trouble, and his following of folk music lovers has only increased yearly. He can’t wait to impress on the Just Passing Through tour with a catalog of songs from his entire career. And we’re not giving up hope that he’ll play some new tunes, as well!
