6LACK 2023 Tour Announcement – Since I Have A Lover Tour Schedule
6LACK has announced the “Since I Have a Lover Tour!” Named for his third and latest album, this trek will begin on October 1st in Portland, OR. The 30-year-old rapper will make stops in Seattle, WA, San Francisco, CA, Houston, TX, and more before concluding on November 24th in Atlanta, GA.
“Since I have a lover, TOUR. 5 years later and my most favorite part of the journey, so far,” 6LACK wrote on Instagram. “Haven’t been on the road since 2019, so this one covers all 3 seasons (FREE 6LACK, EALL & SIHAL). With plenty of intermissions in between. Can’t wait to tell the full story and show everything we learned since the last time. Even more excited to welcome the newcomers.”
Indeed, it’s been a whole five years, and one global pandemic, since 6LACK released his last album, 2018’s East Atlanta Love Letter. So when he announced that Since I Have a Lover was on the way, fans old and new couldn’t believe that it was true! New singles like “Talkback,” “Fatal Attraction,” and the titular track have more than lived up to the hype. And 6LACK can’t wait to perform them live in front of a crowd for the first time, putting his personal and professional growth on display.
Even the biggest music publications noticed 6LACK’s change of heart on the new album. His subject matter has changed from what Rolling Stone calls “a specific type of R&B — think Maxwell’s neo-soul by way of Massive Attack’s trip-hop” to something much more personal. “Lover marks a slight change in direction, writes Pitchfork. “Much of his writing draws on heartbreaks and missed connections. It isn’t exactly wife-guy R&B, but it’s new territory.”
6LACK took a lot of risks on Since I Have a Lover, leaning more into pop than straight-up rap and becoming more vulnerable lyrically than ever before. He can’t wait to share this new era with his old and new fans, and hopes to see you at the show! Get your 6LACK tickets today.
