Where to See EPEX in 2023
EPEX is heading on its first-ever US tour, called “Eight Apex” in 2023! The Korean boy band will kick off on February 3rd in New York, NY, making stops in Reading, PA, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, and more before finishing up on the 15th in Las Vegas, NV.
Plenty of your favorite K-pop groups are touring in 2023… from P1Harmony to Stray Kids to NCT 127. However, we’re especially excited about EPEX! The 8-piece boy band has accomplished incredible things in less than two years together, including four EPs and legions of fans worldwide. They’ve all been listening to hit singles like “Lock Down,” “Do 4 Me,” “Anthem of Teen Spirit,” and “Hymn to Love” over the past year and a half, patiently awaiting the day they could finally see an EPEX concert. Now it’s time to get excited because the time has finally come!
All of EPEX’s EPs, starting with their June 2021 debut, Bipolar Pt. 1: Prelude of Anxiety, have touched upon the themes of love and mental health. Their lyrics take on more serious subject matter than that of their peers, and the group’s most recent project is no exception. They recently discussed their fourth EP, called Prelude of Love Chapter 1: ‘Puppy Love’, released in October 2022, with SportsKeeda.com, and it’s clearly a very important milestone for EPEX.
“This album is the first to fully unravel the story of the second chapter of our debut album, BIPOLAR Pt. 2 Prelude of Love,” says EPEX member A-MIN. “We’re excited to show you a different charm through a story that contradicts the story of youthful anxiety told in the previous album, Prelude of Anxiety Chapter 1. 21st Century Boys!” His bandmate AYDEN touched upon the themes he’s hoping to communicate with EPEX fans, old and new.
“Our songs contain stories related to the emotions of our peers. They build a narrative of polarity by showing the countering feelings of love and anxiety felt in adolescence,” he says. “There are parts where you can deal with emotions through music. However, because all of our members were born in the twenty-first century and were going through adolescence at the same time, we thought that creating music that peers our age could empathize with would be another way to communicate with our fans.”
All eight members of APEX are still very young but have gone through a lot of emotions in a very short time.
