The Avett Brothers 2025 Tour Announcement – US Tour Schedule
The Avett Brothers are coming back to North America in 2025 with an ambitious set of shows! The group, consisting of brothers Seth and Scott Avett, are celebrating their self-titled eleventh album, which also happens to be their first in five years. They’ll play the next Avett Brothers concert on August 5th in Portland, OR, continuing through December 31st in Asheville, NC.
Featuring standout tracks like “Love of a Girl,” “Same Broken Bones,” and “Cheap Coffee,” The Avett Brothers exceeded the expectations of fans everywhere. And that’s quite the feat for your first record in half a decade; when the stakes are already sky-high. Threaded with emotional honesty and folk-rock realness that the Avett Brothers have displayed for a quarter-century, it’s a beautiful tribute to their past, present, and future.
“It’s trust. It’s a trust that’s built in,” Seth told NPR about the secret to working with his brother in the band since 2000. “Sometimes, you know, my wife will ask me, like, you know, what a certain line is about or something, and I’ll realize, well, oh – and in my mind, I’m like, oh, Scott wrote that line. And I’ll just say to her, like, “I have no idea what that line is about, you know, like, we’ve never even talked about that.”
“Like, that – the level of trust is so high that we will make things together and we don’t even need to discuss it sometimes, you know.” You’re telling us that while fans at home try to decipher the new lyrics, the Avett Brothers themselves don’t always know? It may sound counterproductive as a group, but it’s also testament to how they always have their best interests at heart. And the fans’, too. Over the years, they’ve stuck to the same formula of folk, indie, rock, bluegrass and Americana that fans know and love….
And it’s baked into their musical DNA in a beautiful way. One only needs to watch an Avett Brothers concert to see it, as their live reputation is well-earned. Over the years they’ve sold out iconic venues like New York’s Madison Square Garden, Red Rocks in Colorado, and the Greek Theatre in L.A., turning each show into a communal experience. As they work through songs like “No Hard Feelings,” “Ain’t No Man,” “Live And Die” and “The Ballad of Love and Hate,” fans feel like they’re watching an old friend, as opposed to their favorite band.
This intimate energy will only continue on the 2025 Avett Brothers tour, as the band celebrates their new album and exciting future. Get your tickets now!
