Steve Lacy 2022 Tour Announcement – Give You the World Tour Schedule
Steve Lacy is performing in over a dozen cities in fall 2022, and you can’t miss the “Give You the World tour.” The R&B and neo-soul crooner kicks off on October 2nd in Denver, CO, and makes stops in Boston, MA, New York, NY, Nashville, TN, and more before wrapping up on November 11th in Los Angeles, CA.
This Steve Lacy tour supports his sophomore album, Gemini Rights, which was released in July 2022. Featuring singles like “Mercury,” “Bad Habit,” and “Sunshine,” it’s an incredible follow-up to his 2019 debut, Apollo XXI. The Guardian gave Gemini Rights a five-star review, stating that “the 24-year-old from Compton, California makes sweet, psych-tinged songs that are distinctly cosmic and sensual, laced with nods to 70s pop, funk, and soul.” Meanwhile, Rolling Stone had compliments of their own. The iconic music magazine calls Lacy’s second album “brilliantly mercurial” while praising the “collection of rock and R&B, funk and jazz, psych and hip-hop that’s as warm and airy as the cusp of summer when Geminis are born.”
“Bad Habit,” in particular, is his breakout hit, which he helped create with the help of music megastars like Tyler, The Creator. Lacy is used to blending the rules regarding his favorite genres, as you’ve gleaned from above, but it went to another level with his first Billboard Hot 100 entry. Over two years, he tweaked the track countless times, including writing the verses and main melody with Fousheé and later cutting a word from the chorus based on a tip from Tyler, The Creator himself. He has a lot of famous friends for a barely 24-year-old, but Lacy is quickly proving himself to be a musical powerhouse in his own right.
Lacy first caught people’s attention as the guitarist of the alternative R&B group, The Internet, with whom he released two albums in 2015 and 2018, respectively. However, it’s his solo work that’s drawing in even bigger crowds. He puts an upbeat and astrological spin on classic heartbreak ballads, which have led to him topping the Billboard charts for years. He’s on a roll and ready to “Give You the World,” and you can see it firsthand on the upcoming Steve Lacy tour. Get your tickets today!
