Korn 2024 Tour Announcement – 30th Anniversary Tour Schedule
Korn is coming home for their 30th anniversary! The nu-metal band is touring with Gojira and Spiritbox in the fall of 2024, beginning on September 12th in Tampa, FL. They’ll visit more than twenty cities including Newark, NJ, Tacoma, WA, and Kansas City, MO, before wrapping up on October 27th in Saint Paul, MN.
“Reflecting on thirty years of Korn fills me with such immense gratitude for our journey, the growth we’ve experienced, and the incredible bond we share with our fans,” said vocalist Jonathan Davis. ” From our small club beginnings to now headlining stadiums, it’s been an unforgettable ride, and we owe it all to our amazing, undying, loyal community that’s made it possible. I’m really looking forward to this incredible night to celebrate together.”
The night in question was the Korn concert at the 22,000-seat BMO Stadium in Los Angeles, initially billed as a one-night only 30th anniversary show. On October 5th, they’ll be joined by not only the aforementioned openers, but also Evanescence, Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway, and Vended! But after this event sold out in mere days, it became clear that an even bigger celebration was in order. And that’s where this epic Korn tour comes in.
Davis and Co. will now zig-zag across the country playing the best Korn songs, ranging from their 1994 self-titled debut to their fourteenth and latest album, 2022’s Requiem. Longtime fans will already be familiar with the setlist staples, like “Freak on a Leash,” “Falling Away From Me,” “Coming Undone,” and “Ya’ll Want a Single.” However, Davis has also been open about the fact that he prefers to no longer play certain songs, such as “Daddy,” as they represent a time in his life that he no longer resonates with.
“I felt like I robbed the world of doing that live for so long,” Davis told Metal Hammer in 2022 about “Daddy,” a heart-wrenching, 17-minute song off Korn’s debut album. “I felt like I owed it to our fans that were hardcore enough to come and see us on the 20th anniversary of that album, but I don’t wanna do it again. Going out and touring that record, I realized how dark it is – it’s some depressing sh**.”
“As we got into Follow The Leader, it became more about groove,” he continued. “The emotion was there, but it wasn’t that particular darkness we captured on that first record.” You heard the man! He’ll always have a special place in his heart for Korn, but this 30th anniversary tour will honor the band’s career as whole. They’ve sold over 40 million records, won GRAMMY Awards, and inspired every nu-metal band around, including Slipknot and Limp Bizkit.
And if you ask us, that’s something worth celebrating. Witness the nu-metal magic on this Korn tour, with tickets available now!
