G)I-DLE 2022 Tour Announcement – I Am FREE-TY Tour Schedule

G)I-DLE is embarking on the “I Am FREE-TY Tour” later this year! The K-Pop girl group will kick off on August 4th in San Francisco, CA. They’ll make stops in Los Angeles, CA, Dallas, TX, New York, NY, and Atlanta, GA, before wrapping up on the 17th in Chicago, IL.

Can you believe that it’s already been a year since the first-ever headlining G)I-DLE tour? Last summer saw them playing all their greatest hits, like “TOMBOY,” “Latata,” and “DUMDi DUMBi,” in your favorite US cities. And let’s just say that the “Just Me Tour” created a super-hot K-pop summer for everybody in the arena. Now they’re ready to do it all again on the I Am FREE-TY trek, with a fresh setlist and a fierce desire to wow North American fans.

This G)I-DLE tour supports the group’s sixth EP, I Feel, released in May 2023, which is one of their most relatable releases yet. Featuring new songs like “Queencard” and “Allergy,” the K-Pop quintet modeled this project with a comedic flair inspired by Y2K, feel-good films, and the power of self-esteem. Every song is meant to convey messages of confidence for young people, just like the members of G)I-DLE. Trust us; it’s as inspiring as it sounds.

“We wanted to make a dramatized album because when I was composing the title track ‘Queencard,’ I wanted to make it like a comedy movie that describes the daily lives of those in their 20s and their concerns,” G)I-dle member Soyeon said in a press conference. “I was inspired by the movie ‘I Feel Pretty’ when we created this album. Not only is it a comedy, but it also leaves the viewers with a lasting message.”

G)I-DLE and Amy Schumer (who starred in the 2018 film) is a combination that we weren’t expecting in 2023 but certainly aren’t mad about! All five members will sing their hearts out to new songs, including those from their 2022 debut album, I Never Die, on the I Am FREE-TY tour. Will you be there to chant along?
